Stomach ulcers which are also known as peptic ulcers are another common affection of the stomach. Other contributing factors of peptic ulcers are excess secretion of hydrochloric acid, genetic predisposition, psychological stress, chronic use of anti-inflammatory medications, such as aspirin, cigarette smoking, etc.
In case you are suffering from stomach ulcer than you need to follow a specific diet which may help to reduce the gastric irritation and the excess stomach acid secretion. This diet may further help in preventing uncomfortable side effects such as heartburn. You need to eat slowly and chew foods well, be relaxed at mealtime, sit up while eating and for 1 hour after eating, include good source of proteins, reduce caffeine intake, etc.
